L’Aurore is the flavor interpretation of an inner dawn. The blend was created in homage to Four Quartets (1936–1942) by T. S. Eliot, and in particular Burnt Norton, a poem shaped around suspended time, unrealized love, and the quiet courage of remaining present.

Eliot wrote the Quartets after a life marked by restraint, longing, and a love he could never fully claim. The woman he loved before fame remained a quiet absence at the edge of his work, a presence defined more by what could not be lived than by what was fulfilled. In Burnt Norton, this ache takes form in a ruined garden, a place where unrealized futures linger and time briefly loosens its grip. The poem does not offer escape into nostalgia or illusion. Instead, it asks the soul to endure, to choose presence over fantasy, and to remain attentive even when love and time resist resolution.

In this landscape, time becomes both wound and teacher. Faith and love are not presented as cures for suffering, but as disciplines, ways of learning how to bear longing without surrendering to bitterness. Lemon verbena, used in antiquity in rites dedicated to Aphrodite, carries associations of devotion and attentive warmth. Raspberry brings the soft blush of first light and its medieval symbolism, when monks understood its red juice as a sign of love and the gentle softening of the heart. Apple, drawn from the mythic gardens of antiquity and the stories of early Christianity, holds the weight of knowledge, awakening, and the perilous beauty of consciousness itself.

These meanings guide the composition of the blend. Bright botanicals open the cup with clarity and lift, gentle fruit sweetness follows without excess, and herbal structure remains present throughout.
